Arts Program

Because our mission is to educate the whole child, we understand that children have different learning styles and needs. Rosewood Avenue has a strong commitment to the arts. Children take part in various art disciplines throughout the school year. Artists and entertainers also perform at various school assemblies. Children in grades 3-5 also have the opportunity to take part in an instrumental music program. The children can choose to learn to play guitar, keyboard, or drums. All students take part in the vocal program. Additionally, we have an advanced choir that students audition to take part in. Our advanced choir, The Changels, perform at events throughout the city.

We were adopted by Adopt the Arts, a nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring that every child has music in their life. Adopt the Arts pays for our music teacher, our wonderful Ms. Molly. During the 2017-2018 school year, LAUSD is providing visual arts, dance and theatre to our students.  We also work with Jaxx Theatricals where students have the opportunity to develop creativity, inspire self-expression and promote self-esteem.  This year's production is Peter Pan and will be performed on Saturday, November 18, 2017.
